The Rams lost a match they had played against East Duplin last season.

The Rams have won 14 of their matches so far this year and have not lost any of their games within the conference. Reidsville lost their only match in week four out of the entire season against Eastern Alamance, another 3A team.

It has been since 1996 when Jimmy Teague was not patrolling the field as a coach of the Rams in their last season. Nevertheless, someone else has put on the headset this time round. Erik now runs it and is Jimmy’s son.

Erik Teague has continued with the momentum in his first season as head coach. One more win for the Rams and their 23rd state championship in program history is within reach.

Their third year-starting quarterback, Al Lee leads the Rams offensively. Lee is a senior that witnessed the ups of winning championship as a back-up in 2020.

Lee asserted, “I just want to keep my guy’s spirits high,” “Just want to keep the fellas in their place.” My number one priority, is to make sure my guys feel appreciated.<Lee asserted that each time he fails, “We live for the following play.”

Thankfully, this can be seen in Lee’s level-headed nature who works under the first-year head coach Erik Teague.

According to Teague, there are many expectations in Reidsville high school and when the quarterbacks do not impress much, then the critics will come up with negative comments. However, he feels Lee may be blind about that. In fact, he shows up daily for practice and puts in the effort. Three years since our quarterback became a starter, and according to Teague, “He’s matured greatly”.

This year’s 2A State Football Championship kickoff is set for 3pm on Saturday, November 20th, at Carter-Finley Stadium.
