Steve-O, a famous participant of the show Jackass, has recently described his experience connected with ESPN NFL 2K5. It must be noted that many fans prefer the series under discussion, ESPN NFL 2K to the rival entitled Madden. Since EA’s exclusive NFL license has been almost up for almost a decade, most gamers would swear by ESPN NFL 2K5 as being one of the better football games out there.

ESPN NFL 2K5 was the five video game of the national football league, one of the features being celebrity coaches. Some of the prominent personalities included Carmen Electra, Funkmaster Flex, Jamie Kennedy, David Arquette, and Steve-O; the player would get a call from and compete against these personalities using a team built out of Pro Bowl players, this would include customized team names and venues. The aforementioned actors would then be placed in a small box on the screen or on a corner of the screen and insult the player.

In different interviews with Gamespot, Steve-O, a star in Jackass confirmed that he was paid One hundred and thousand United States of America dollars only to appear in ESPN NFL 2K5. He recorded numerous lines to say as a celebrity coach, and only featured as an avatar, a thumbnail of his face. He noted that the entourage of the producers of ESPN NFL 2K5 proposed him to participate in the game. He continued the statement by stating he was paid very well to push the title and took it even further, he appeared on Howard Stern show. This sum offered to him was far higher than he made from other video games he has been involved in.

Jackass: The Game

Steve-O has said that he has had mixed feelings about video games in some occasions he indeed said that it was a waste of time. He described his past experiences with video games, and he even mentioned such systems as Intellivision and NES as his first. He said something that he lost interest in gaming after attaining the age of 16 mainly because of the usual process of growing up and getting involved in other activities. But he stated to the Court that he has repented resulting to seeing matters differently than before. This is not as shocking because Steve-O has indeed starred in more than one video game, such as Tony Hawk Underground 2, and what quite a number of gamers enjoyed referring to as the absurd Jackass video game of 2007.

Towards the final part of the interview Steve-O noted that he wanted to get acquainted with gaming in general. However, since Jackass co-star Johnny Knoxville stated that Jackass forever was not the end of the franchise, perhaps a return of those celebrities could bring them back into the lime light and quite as the video game scene. Of course, even though a slight conflict between Knoxville and Steve-O may prevent a new release of Jackass game, they could still get more work in the gaming industry due to their fame.
