Presenting the first Augusta Press all-area high school football team

Augusta, GA – Augusta Press proudly presents its first-ever All-Area High School Football Team, saluting the skill and determination of players who played a major role in this year's action on the gridiron. Regional competition is intense-these players stand out from the rest, featuring unequaled talent, moxie and courage.

A Stellar Selection: These sports writing and coaching experts undertook a careful assessment, paying attention to statistics, game film and contributions made for one's team. After this painstaking selection process, we produced a roster of real A-one players--the best the Augusta area's high schools have to offer.

Headliners on Offense: Pacing the attack is quarterback '', who set a new passing record and directed countless killer drives this season. In the backfield with him we find elusive running back [Player Name], whose dazzling runs and knack for getting into the end zone kept defenses on their toes. Wide receiver [Player Name] caught everything in sight on the perimeter, while tight end '' was mission impossible to contain within ten yards of goal.

Defensive Dominators: Holding down the fort in defense was Player name, an unmovable object who caused problems for opposing offenses with his presence alone in the trenches.
