Jones can be replaced by Drake who was once an NFL player so that he may get in a few plays during week 14.

Whenever Jones has been unavailable, AJ Dillion has functioned as the main running back in the Packers squad. He was okay, but Green Bay wants a second back-up to use frequently. However, they haven’t found that back, but Drake has a big-time potential to be replaced there.

Kenyan Drake Shares His Initial thoughts on the Packers

However, this did not deter Drake from shortly after signing with the Packers, already discussing his new team. The NFL insider, Josina Anderson, was his source for that quote.

I felt some energy was around this building today. This is a legend and you can sense the legacy as well as their bright future. I am eager to join hands with them as they look forward on making that decisive move to achieve their last destination.

Those are not the kind of words that should come from an unwilling player-to–be-part-of-something in Green Bay. Yes, it is just a practice squad deal, but considering there are rumblings that Jones will not play in week 14 against the Giants, Drake will probably be promoted to the 53-man roster.

Drake has featured for just two teams since the start of the season and they all belong to the Baltimore Ravens. He only touched the ball a single time and it was for zero yards in the mentioned games. He tallied 482 yards and four touchdowns on 109 carries last year in twelve games for the Ravens.

At age 29, Drake just wants to prove that he can do something great. That is an opportunity he should have found out with the packers.

Make sure to tune in to see the Packers take on the Giants in Week 14 on Monday Night Football at 8: 15 p.m. EST on ESPN. Green Bay aims at making it four in a row as they continue to battle for a spot among the tight playoff in NFC.
