Crawford County high school football schedule for 2024 season

Coming up in about five weeks is the beginning of football season in Ohio and so here is the regular season schedule of games to watch.

Thursday night games for Week 1 include Wynford at Galion, Colon Crawford hosting Hannibal River. The highlighted game that Friday is the county clash between the two area’s smallest schools: Buckeye Central and Crestline.

Carey Week Game two will be another great game as Galion takes on Carey , a game that has been fantastic each of the last few years and a perfect nonleague tune-up for both teams.

The week 3 is the last week of nonleague games and four teams are on an away field, while Wynford and Crestline are hosting Western Reserve and Collinwood correspondingly.

Week 4 begins with league games and it begins with a bang with Galion travelling to Clear Fork and Buckeye Central hosting Bucyrus.

Galion hosts Shelby in an age old rivalry for week 5 and the bucks travel to Colonel Crawford.

Week 6 will see the Eagle traveling to Bucyrus – and Carey taking on Wynford for a big match at the Royal Stadium.

This is the week where dreams of the title could quickly disappear or continue into the next week as Galion head to the Highland, Colonel Crawford to Seneca East and Wynford hosting Mohawk.

Week 8’s ‘Game of the Week’ features the 48th renewal of the Copper Kettle clash between Wynford and Bucyrus, and Carey at Colonel Crawford, both of which could have massive league title implications.

In week 9, Wynford has a county game as it heads to Buckeye Central, while Galion goes on the road to River Valley which is never an easy game for the Tigers.

And what better way to head into the playoffs, than to have two teams that do not like each other very much, Colonel Crawford and Wynford. The Royals will thus be hoping to avoid a four match losing streak to the Eagles when they meet on the latter’s home ground. This is one that could potentially determine not just the Northern 10 champion, but could have huge playoff consequences.
