Pro Football Network’s Top 100 NFL Players of 2024

The following challenge is rather difficult, but not impossible: naming 100 best NFL players, before the start of the 2024 season. In choosing the player to be the team’s first overall pick, it is relatively easy; but selecting from the rest of a league full of star players in every positing is not so easy.

To generate the list of the NFL’s top 100 players, the staff members of Pro Football Network presented a vote counting the best and most efficient athletes from each team.

Including next generation talents as well as some promising young players here is a list of NFL’s best 100 players who are set to resume action in the upcoming seasons of 2024.

Surveying PFT’s top one hundred National Football League players

Regarded as one of the most outstanding players of the NFL now, Patrick Mahomes is the premier football player for the year 2024.

3) Lamar Jackson , Quarterback of Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson was awarded the MVP with a record of 34-10 becoming just the 11th NFL player to win two MVP awards The electrifying footballer felt more like a passer than he had in the previous seasons. He was third in Football adjusted net yards per attempt with 7. 34, while he was fourth in QBR, capped off a fine season by throwing five touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins in the final regular-season match.

Jackson thrived in the role as a pocket passer, but he still ranked as a rushing threat, ending the season with 200+ more rushing yards than any other quarterback. In particular, he stood second in rushing success rate in the league among all the QBs and third in rushing first downs.

4) Micah Parsons DE, Dallas Cowboys

Parsons’ 14 sacks were only good enough to tie for seventh in the entire NFL in 2023 but pressures are a better measure than sacks as they are more accurate.

The disparity between Christian McCaffrey and the rest of the NFL’s running backs was perhaps the largest distance between the best player at his exact position in the league and his peers in 2023. CMC was able to rack up 2,023 yards from scrimmage and this was accomplished without playing in Week 18; as for other RBs no one ran for more than 1600 yards.

His total of 21 touchdown touches equalled the NFL’s league’s average though his first down-production in passing game (31) and in running game (83) remained the highest across the NFL.

He hauled in 128 passes and 1,809 yards to capture the 2022 league Offensive Player of the Year award and became the NFL’s highest paid, non-quarterback following a $35 million per year contract extension in June.

15) T, Penei Sewell, Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions have one of the best O-lines in the NFL; Penei Sewell is arguably the Best Right Tackle going into the new 2024 season.

16) Jones, Chris, DT of the Kansas City Chiefs

Chris Jones targeted two blockers 73% of the time which was the league’s highest. Other chiefs pass rushers such as George Karlaftis, Mike Danna, and Charles Omenihu were also able to get to the other team’s QB because the offense lineman they had were all locked in blocking Jones.

It was 81 that Warner spared on his individual stats. 7 passer rating as the nearest defender in coverage, the best among the LBs who played at least 300 coverage snaps in 2023. He has only been absent in a single game so far and that too only in the first six seasons in San Francisco.

19) Dexter Lawrence (DT), New York Giants

20) Sauce Gardner, CB, NY Jets

A fourth-round pick, ASRB has been an absolute steal in the draft joining the league in 2021, he is fifth in receptions among WRs, sixth in targets and eighth in receiving yards. The last two seasons also show that only Hill and Lamb have technically produced more receiving first downs.

25) number 17 wide receiver Davante Adams, Las Vegas raiders

Davante Adams is still the best with route running and his release package can’t be matched. In the first three years of the decade, he managed to make the first-string All-Pro selection for three successive years; however, the 2023 season saw a slight decline in his output unfortunately primarily because of the Raiders’ QBs.
