There are only so many weeks left before the Cleveland Browns’ first game, which can only mean one thing: It’s Fantasy Football time.

As the Browns step into 2024, they have two potential targets that will be all over ruined fantasy rosters. Definitely not the top of the top talents within their positions, but wide receiver Amari Cooper and tight end David Njoku are solid choices that can win a fantasy league this year.
But does Cleveland have any Fantasy Football sleepers on its roster?
Before your fantasy draft, here are two Browns players you should probably familiarize yourself with.
Jerome Ford, RB
I am not saying go out and take Jerome Ford as your number one back, but with an ADP of 40 at his position Boyd he can be that late round sleeper pick.
All things considered, there is much that will go well with Ford as it approaches 2024.
First and foremost, he is penciled in as Cleveland’s lead back with Nick Chubb out for the time being. Thus, there is no way of knowing when Chubb shall return and Ford is well capable of being the No. 1 back for the remainder of the season.
Can D’Onta Foreman actually threaten to take Ford’s starting spot in Cleveland’s backfield in the coming years? I don’t suppose it does.
Ford gained 813 rushing yards and scored 4 touchdowns for the team in 2023 with a per carry average of 4. Those aren't great numbers. However, Ford showed as a decent receiver out of the backfield to catch 44 passes for 319 yards and three TDs.
Remember: It’s again quantity that counts when it comes to Fantasy Football, so while Ford may not have been the most efficient rusher in the season just gone, he remains a viable pick.
Also, Ford showed a great deal of promise in college – during his time at the University of Memphis, he gained 1,319 yards and 19 touchdowns, averaging 6. In his final season with Cincinnati he was averaging a mere 2 yards per attempt.
The player should attain some start in 2024, likely initially when Chubb may be out of form, and the Browns might rely much on the run.
Deshaun Watson, QB
Nowadays, it looks barely possible to call Deshaun Watson a sleeper given how good he used to be.
Since coming to Browns, two years ago, Watson has featured in only 12 matches; he has recorded a total of 14 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions; he has also scored 2 rushing touchdowns.
These aren’t exactly the kind of numbers that would win a league in fantasy football.
But Watson is trying to do this for his first full season in Cleveland this year, and with even more weaponry available to him in the passing game now, he can rebound.
I am not saying that Watson will wake up tomorrow and play like the quarterback he was in 2020 while playing for the Houston Texans. Well, I am quite sure that probably isn’t going to happen. Not in 2024, anyway.
Of course, it is fair to mention that at the moment, about the start of the NFL season, Watson is ranked 22 among all quarterbacks in terms of ADP. That could be regarded as awfully low compared to how terrific he has been in years past.
However, let me be very clear about something and that is not to say that it is beyond reason to imagine that Watson goes out there this season and is horrendous. Last the man has not been able to complete a full season of football in the last four years so it comes as no surprise that the man has nothing left in the tank.
However, Watson is only 28 years old, so there is also the glimmer of possibility that he will find a way to muster enough and have, at the least, a good run.
Plus, for as much as Watson isn’t exactly Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen he is still a dual threat. While playing for the Texans in 2018-2020 the Clemson product scored 11 rushing touchdowns and rushed for more than 400 yards in each season with the best result of 551 in 2018.
If Watson can muster even half the performance that he delivered before the injury, he could be one of the best values in Fantasy Football this season.
