Swinney is not hiding how he feels about the transfer portal, and in the modern era of football, it seems as though if teams want to be relevant, they have to use the portal. This year, Clemson again benefits from a relatively easy schedule. Four real away games, one of which is neutral, and none to be played against truly competitive teams. As it stands now, the Tigers are scheduled to play only in two, or at most, three, teams ranked in the top twenty-five. This is a great opportunity for Clemson to go the championship game of the conference and potentially for a bid in the college football playoffs.

Week 1 : Georgia; L 0 – 1

Not very much can be said about this one, although it is a ‘neutral site’ game here in Georgia and the Bulldog fans will be in attendance and cheering on the team. The Bulldogs are regarded as one of the favouite this coming season, so they should waltz past the Tigers in the first week of the season.

Week 2: at Appalachian State; W 24-3 (1-1)

It is then funny that after one of the most difficult ways possible to begin your season, you get a team that is much easier to beat. It is going to be an excellent chance of the first entertained home match of a new season for Swinney’s squad, where they can show all their best. God only knows I would expect Cade Klubnik to feast on this Mountaineers defense.

Week 3: Bye

Week 4: At NC State; Win (2-1)

This is in favor of the Tigers, but this will be a swift victory. The fans of the Wolfpack and the Tigers will see one good match as both teams have entertained the fans previous years. Defensively, they are losing some key performers for NC State: the biggest one is Payton Wilson who bagged both the Chuck Bednarik award for the best defensive player in college football and also the Butkus award for the best linebacker at the college level. The most intriguing area of concern is the defense for NC State having this in mind Cade Klubnik and Clemson will celebrate their second win of the season.

5th week: Stanford; win – 3-1

One of the more fairly easy games that Clemson can just roll over and play dead for, or at least just turn up and not really have to try at all. In Death Valley this Stanford Cardinal team is expected to be equally placed in this VERY top heavy ACC conference. You have to wonder whether even the Clemson starters will play after the third quarter.

Game 6: at Florida State; L, 3-2

This game looks to be the season’s first true “swing” game. This will also be the first time we get to see how Florida State stands up to some pressure this entire season. These two teams are meeting at such a point in the season but could meet again in the ACC championship bout. Everyone appears to be concerned about DJ Uiagalelei’s ability to be Jordan Travis, he doesn’t have to be. Yes, this team lost a lot of talent, especially on the offense, but they’re the team with enough sheer star power where your quarterback merely has to not stink and I see him doing that against Clemson and leading his team to a win in Tallahassee.

Week 7: at Wake Forest; 27-24 W

The Demon deacons probable starter will be the redshirt senior transfer Hank Bachmeier Currently, Bachmeier is on his third team after transferring from Louisiana Tech and Boise State. Still, Backmeier just doesn’t have the skills or the tools to get it done, especially against a defense as stiff as Clemson’s. The Tigers shall gain a victory in a match played at Allegacy Stadium in a away fixture.

Week 7: Virginia; Win (5-2)

Sure, the current Cavaliers team has some great years in their future. It’s nevertheless still very difficult to come out a winner in Death Valley, and this Virginia team is not there yet. The Clemson offense should be able to have their way in most of this game and make it a large win going into week eight.

Week 8: Bye

Week 9: Louisville; W-6/2

Yet another a great opportunity for Clemson to get a lot of momentum going in to the latter part of the regular season games. If there is something that the Cardinals are being overwhelmed with at the moment, it is the fact that this Clemson team appears to outnumbers them in almost all the categories of the game. Unquestionably, this did feel like a potential trap game for Coach Swinney and the Tigers. You have a ton of steam, the attention begins to grow for not only the ACC title game but the CFP as well, and it is extremely simple to look past an inferior opponent. Louisville can make this one interesting but the Tigers will ultimately come away with the victory and improve to 6-2 on the year.

Week 10: at Virginia Tech; W, 7-2

This game will be entropy of interdependence for Clemson. You are coming of two home wins against teams that are suppose to be beaten by you and now it is time to travel to one of the toughest environments a team could ever play in college football against a middle of the pack team who seems to be rising in the conference. This game will be a hard nose football game most notably the defenses will stand out but ends with Clemson getting past Enter Sandman and winning a big conference road game in Blacksburg.

Week 11: at Pittsburgh; W, 8-2

The Panthers are not lucky in the offseason and think that that misfortune will continue into the regular season. The Tigers should stroll into Acrisure Stadium and saunter out of it with a straightforward win; however, another conference road win for the resume.

Week 12: Citadel; Win (9-2)

A win. A win that could be an ideal Clemson game where they step on the field and dictate the game and leave no reason to believe they were threatened with an upset. Citadel has been known to hang around with the big programs in the second half like the second half against Alabama, but that is as far as the better teams can take them and Clemson will demonstrate that in week 12.

Week 13: South Carolina; Win (10 – 2)

That would be a huge match and one of the ones, which could very well turn out to be a close one that has numerous of Clemson residents on the edge of their seats, for a little while. This game could be the making or the breaking of Clemons’ birth to the ACC championship. A victory would all but guarantee it, while a defeat could drop them to that third position depended on the outcomes of the rest of the conference. Yet the Tigers will manage to win this one and take their rightful place in the ACC championship.
