2024's Biggest Game Of The Year Has Over 700,000 Players & Isn't Even Officially Out Yet
Although EA College Football 25 is yet to hit the shelves, the game is set for such rapid growth that it will become one of the year’s top games of 2024. Here we are more than a full decade removed from the release of an official College Football game and as the league only continues to grow more and more popular, it’s only natural that the cries for a new entry in the series have grown to such a pitch. Certainly, it clear as to why the game is already this successful but to achieve that thus focusing solely on pre-orders is a genuine feat.

According to Kotaku, EA College Football 25 reached more than 700,000 players before it was released in the early-access pre-order period which is happening before the game is officially released on July 19th. The regimented fans who could not wait for College Football to come out on Tuesday rather played the sports simulators and spent extra bucks to get the game done, and while this may not sound like it is attracting massive amounts of consumer interest, people should never underestimate the College Football market. Based on July 16, the survival game reached a peak of 713,975 concurrent players on Steam, enriching the list of games to be released in 2024.
Why Has EA College Football Caused Such A Rumble?
From an end user perspective analyzing College Football as a league on its own, one can greatly underestimate it. College Football is huge in many states of the USA and sometimes more encompassing than NFL in terms of fan following, stadium turnout, and games watched on television. Due to the reception that fans have given EA College Football it is evident that players have been waiting for the return of the series for the past 11 years.
This is well aided by the fact that EA College Football 25 as been receiving lots of accolades as many of the critics and fans of this genre consider it as one of the best Football games in years. With tight controls, a dense play system that gives more coordination on the field, and it has a very large number of players, it is the air of change users of Madden have been dreaming for years. That is, the willingness of players to pay ninety dollars to play the game at an earlier time clearly falls under the list of victories attributed to EA.
However, one needs to determine whether EA College Football 25 is the start of a brand new franchise of EA. Such a seriously positive reception could not have left the series with the publisher, allowing it to continue for another decade without Lange. This may be the start of another yearly installment series for EA which I’m sure gamers would not mind at all.
